In October 2008, Director David M. Sternfield is coordinating and will participate in a sensitivity training program for religious leaders and clergy members, an event co-sponsor by Autism Legislation Project, Autism Speaks, and Giant Steps Illinois. In September 2008, Director David M. Sternfield will travel to India to tour the primary autism facility in India, Action for Autism. Additionally, Mr. Sternfield will host an Autism Symposium with an emphasis on disability legislation throughout the world in New Delhi, India on September 4, 2008. On April 25, 2008 the Autism Legislation Project hosted its second fundraiser at The Cubby Bear Lincolnshire in Lincolnshire, Illinois. On April 23, 2008 the Autism Legislation Project and the Law Enforcement and Other First Responder Training in Villa Park, Illinois was featured in a news article. On April 18, 2008, Director David M. Sternfield coordinated and participated in the Law Enforcement and Other First Responder Training in Villa Park, Illinois. On November 15, 2007 the Autism Legislation Project hosted its first fundraiser at Goose Island Wrigleyville in Chicago, Illinois.

In July 2007, Director David M. Sternfield traveled to Russia and China. In Moscow, Mr. Sternfield toured the Department of Medicine at Moscow State University and toured the primary autism facility in the Russian Federation, Dobro Association. In Beijing, Mr. Sternfield toured the primary autism facility in China, Stars and Rain Autism Center, and had a speaking engagement facilitated by Peking University to discuss issues pertaining to disability legislation in China, autism, and autism legislation.
